Tara Bassett is a certified nutritional practitioner at Koru Nutrition. She has a passion for helping others improve their physical and mental well-being through nutrition and building healthy, sustainable habits. Taking a holistic, individualized, and evidence-based approach to care, Tara strongly believes in the power of food, movement, and mindfulness to achieve optimal health.
Tara studied at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Western University, and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto.
Tara has worked with a variety of populations as an occupational therapist, including those with traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumours, orthopaedic injuries, and mental health issues. She has experience in acute care, rehabilitation, and community settings, providing comprehensive functional and cognitive assessments and person-centred treatment to help her clients reach their goals. She also has experience working internationally, completing a student placement in Tanzania, and teaching English in the Czech Republic.

Tara is a certified yoga teacher, and has taken continuing education courses in vegetarian cooking and the foundations of fermentation. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in nature, traveling, making pottery, and experimenting in the kitchen!
